We are now also posting interesting news from the worlds of photography, journalism, social media and public relations, plus the more interesting goings-on of Karen Kring, Joel Lerner and George Pfoertner on Twitter at http://twitter.com/KringLerner.

As individuals, we’ve been on Twitter since last Spring, but it was not until this Winter when someone whispered TweetDeck in Karen’s ear that we really got going.

The guys at ChirpUp have a nice primer on how to get started on Twitter.

We are still finding out all the ways we can use it to serve our clients and connect with prospective clients. The various ways one can use hashtags is evolving quickly.

More about that soon; stay tuned.

If you have any questions about Twitter, or other social media tools, contact KLG’s Karen Kring. If she can’t answer your questions easily through email, she’ll be willing to talk with you over the phone. She geeks out on social media and the new tools.

Evanston Township High School students, faculty and staff gather in Beardsley Gym to watch Barack Obama sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of American Tuesday, January 20, 2009.

Joel Lerner covered inauguration celebrations in Chicago’s North Shore for Pioneer Press that day. “I was proud when the student body stood up, without being prodded, when Obama took the oath of office,” said Joel, ETHS Class of ‘81. “My job has its perks.”

This is a case of the cobbler’s children having no shoes…but now they do. Despite Kring Lerner Group being up and running since January 2008, it has taken a year before we actually posted our own website.  It has been an interesting year and we look forward to an even more interesting 2009.
